The Angel's Share. The Jury Prize winner. British Ken Loach's is a story about a young father who after the birth of his son marks a turning point in his life of petty crime.
A great mix of humour and morals, critics saying it balances heart break and hilarity, and "feel good ray of hope from what often seem like the bleakest of lives."
Beyond the Hills: Christian Mungui won the award for Best screenplay and Flutur and Stratan shared the award for best actress.
Follows tow young women at an orthodox convent in Romania.
Reality: The Grand Prix Winner. Set in the world of reality television where a fishmonger participates in 'Grande Fratello', the Italian version of Big Brother.
Moonrise Kingdom: Wes Anderson's film about a pair of preteen lovers fleeing from their New England island town, chased with the local sheriff and the girls parents. Bruce Willis, Bill Murray.
